What are Ciprofloxacin Tablets Uses and Side Effects?


Ciprofloxacin tablets is a drug belongs to category of quinolone antibiotics group. This medication is indicated for the treatment of different types of infections caused by bacteria's like diarrhea, skin infections, joint infections, bone infection, gonorrhoea. But this drug is not efficient for the treatment of infections caused by viruses.


Mechanism of Action of Ciprofloxacin Tablets

Ciplofloxacin tablets acts by interfaring DNA synthesis process in bacteria by inhibiting the enzyme sysnthesis, which results in death of bacteria.

Side Effects of Ciprofloxacin Tablets

Ciprofloxacin tablets have some common side effects also like nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, insomnia, dark urine, yellowing of eyes, pale skin, stomach ache, abdominal pain, liver problem, kidney problem, weakness, skin reactions like rash, swelling, redness, itching etc.

  • Do not receive any type of vaccination during medication phase.
